Help Needed! and June Highlights

Too much has happened in the past month for me to go into great detail on everything so I will let the pictures and captions tell the story.   Before I do, however,  I would like to make an effort to improve our club's adherence to routine course etiquette.  Recognizing that the vast majority of those who read these updates are not the ones in need of this reminder, I need your help at spreading the word.  We are getting beaten up badly with unrepaired ball marks, unfilled divots, un raked bunkers, and rogue cart traffic.  It's demoralizing from our staff's perspective and it has to be maddening for those of you who are good stewards of the course.

We have added these on several holes

Not correct

For the first time in my 26 year career we are scheduling
staff to repair ball marks.  This is daily and costs about $100 bucks a day.
It prevents us from doing other things that golfers can't do.

Now for the good stuff from the past month...

Jacob, Brandon, and Gabe have been the primary team
involved in bunker edges and sand reallocation.  We have a few
left and will be adding sand and touching them up in the next few days.

We had a fun time setting up for the Women's Day event

The milkweed in various areas around the course is in full bloom

Will has had his hands full with irrigation.  Unfortunately
we have not been able to keep up with the ever increasing
number of issues.  It's more than a one man job.

We've been hoping to convert the green surround on 18 to zoysia
ever since the clubhouse expanded.  That hasn't been in the cards financially,
so we've pushed the common bermuda to take over.  The area pictured was
the last area yet to cover over.  It's been sodded in zoysia as we were not
willing to wait any longer on bermuda to take over on it's own.

Mike and the staff tackled this in one day

Brody makes the first cut on the new zoysia

Sophie finished Clemson with Honors!

Anna finished Stevens with Highest Honors!
