Aeration Update and Course Opening

Aeration went extremely well and we have completed the primary steps on all 20 greens.  We spent all day Monday on the front nine and hole 18.  We spent all day Tuesday on holes 10-17, putting green, and chipping green.  Tomorrow we will catch up on mowing the golf course and several staff members will do more brushing and rolling to the greens we aerated Monday.  We will complete the front nine greens by 2:30 Wednesday at which point those holes will re-open.  We will have the back nine ready by noon on Thursday.  We greatly appreciate your patience.  While putting quality will be temporarily disrupted, greens are set up well for the tough summer season ahead.

In addition to the greens aeration, Cody has been applying fertilizer and weed prevention to the zoysia fairways.  This process will be completed tomorrow.  We are later than we'd like with the weed prevention, but the weather this year has been unusual at best.  Timing this to coincide with aeration makes it much more efficient.
