Leaf Battle Begins

Here we go!  The sound of backpack blowers fill the air throughout the neighborhood. Landscape crews have their leaf control weapons loaded up and ready.  For the next two months this will be the norm for everyone including us.

The golf course is a mess from the past week of wind and last nights storm.  It's officially leaf season and we have a lot of daily leaf work to do just to keep the course playable.  We do not have near the arsenal we wish we did in terms of people and equipment, but we fight through it every year and always win in the end.  On any given day at any given time you may find yourself searching for a ball in the middle of the fairway or have a tough time putting through a sea of leaves.  We will do our best to keep this from happening, but can't promise you a clear path all the time.  It's a numbers game and the leaves have the upper hand for a few weeks.

You'll see us blowing, mulching with mowers, and/or vacuuming leaves every day until we are clean from wall to wall.   I wish we were able to provide service to those of you who live on the course, but we are severely overwhelmed with our own leaf problem and can't accept anymore work than we are committed to on the course.  Be patient with your own lawns and don't rush to pay for leaf clean up when the trees are still nearly full.  We also ask for your patience with us as we fight to make leaf season as short as possible.
