Happy New Year

Winter is here and we are preparing for spring and the upcoming golf season.  Staff is smaller this time of year so while it might seem like "slow" season we are actually extremely busy.  Fewer people to do more work makes winter "busy" season from our perspective.  Tree removals will be a focal point again as many have died or are in bad shape.  The perimeter of the course and many areas that we own but you never see could keep us busy year round in terms of tree work.  In addition to tree removals we will be working on repairs to irrigation, bunkers, equipment, pond banks, drainage, among many other tasks.  Normal course prep for play is always on our schedule and will be handled as weather permits and play dictates.  Conditions are largely out of our control this time of year due to saturated and/or frozen ground, but we will always put our best foot forward for golf each day.  We are looking forward to a productive winter of course improvement and are upbeat about course conditions in 2024.  Stay tuned for regular updates on our progress.

Happy New Year !

Still have some beautiful golf weather from time to time

Southshore bentgrass in the winter.  Roughly 200 different "parent" varieties were
used to make Southshore.  They stand out more in the winter.

Visitors came to discuss ways to improve hole 8.  Both the tee complex
and bunkers need work.  Stay tuned for more details.

We started out the new year moving furniture
out of the clubhouse for the upcoming renovation.
