Staffing Stuff

If you've played in the past 3 weeks you may have noticed fewer orange shirts.  We rely heavily on students for help each summer and recently lost all of them to school.  While most of them worked a part time schedule, their presence was a huge help to us.  Greatly increased member rounds played (That's fantastic!) and almost all Monday's booked with outings (Not as fantastic for us) means there is less open space for us to get work done and more wear and tear for us to recover from.   We have more to do and it needs to get done quicker.  Competing with a wide variety of other industries for help and keeping our amazing current staff in tact is an endless task.  Staff recruiting and retention is always the highest priority regardless of what day of the year it is.  Looking to 2023 and beyond we are aiming to bolster the full time staff and rely less heavily on students.  We will always need summer help, but our season is much longer than two and a half months.

In the meantime, please pardon what may seem like a slightly less courteous staff.  They've been told to be more assertive in an attempt to get things done.  With fewer staff and fewer gaps on the tee sheet we are forced to work in play more than we've typically had to.  It's the unfortunate downside to a busy course with a smaller staff.
