Tree Removals and Storm Clean Up

"Tree Work" has been the daily assignment for the entire staff for almost 6 straight weeks.  The guys have developed a very good system for maximizing our productivity and we can almost see the finish line.  Thanks to the golf boom we've been able to hang on to a few more people through the winter months this year.  As a result we can operate with two crews at a time.  One crew handles the cutting and the other crew handles the chipping and log removal.  For a short time we were referring to them as "the cutting crew" and "the chipping crew".  We stopped that when I realized that the Cutting Crew was a cheesy 80s band.

Pine logs are piling up fast around the shop.  We have been seeking solutions for making it disappear and will likely have to hire someone to haul the big stuff away or grind it on site.  Either way there isn't a "free" way to do it.  Hard wood is easy to get rid of, but pine not so much.

A few of the pine logs.  We hope to borrow a bigger chipper to help shrink this pile.
The big stuff will then be hauled away.

We stopped calling our guys the cutting crew
