Quick Update

Greens aeration went very well yesterday and today.  We had a long delay both mornings due to frost so we were unable to complete the entire course.  We will finish up tomorrow on greens 9,15,16, and both the practice greens.   The entire course will be open for play tomorrow.

The holes we used were very small, but due to winter conditions will likely remain visible until the spring.  Unrepaired ball marks and freeze/thaw cycles will be far more disruptive to putting quality over the winter than what we did today.

We used our new deep tine aerator on the chipping green and hole 15 just to get a feel for how it works.  15 tends to struggle in the summer and is in the dark for most of the winter so we felt like it would benefit the most from this "test".  The plan will be to use this tool on every green during our spring aeration.
