Practice Tee and Bunker Rakes

The practice tee is set up for use from the grass now after a month of virus related delays.  We are hopeful that everyone will follow the signage on the tee regarding practice etiquette.  The tee is small relative to our demand and in order to have turf to hit from all year it is critical that everyone "behave".  It may seem silly to some, but following the steps outlined on the large sign at the tee will make a tremendous impact in the condition of tee.  Now that the tee is set up on the turf, our staff will be setting it up daily and doing semi- weekly divot filling.  That's roughly 15 hours a week in labor that we will dedicate to the range tee.  Following proper tee etiquette can help our labor budget as well.

This is what your divot pattern should look like.
This is NOT what you do.

Bunker rakes are back on the course and placed neatly INSIDE the bunker.  One lesson learned from the virus is that time spent moving rakes for maintenance is significant.  For this reason, we ask that they remain inside the bunker from now on.  They are easier for golfers to find, and much less hassle for staff when mowing or spraying.  As for how to proceed with playing from bunkers in the immediate future...the golf shop/golf committee will be communicating this to everyone.  There may be no change to the Lift Clean and Place policy, but should you wish to use a rake instead of your foot to smooth the sand you may do so.  Again, this detail will be communicated from the golf shop/golf committee.
