Spring Fever

Each Spring we have at least one week where Murphy's Law seems to rule.  Last week was this year's version of that ritual.  Growing pains from the clubhouse expansion, irrigation system start up troubles, and a host of other issues made life very challenging.  We are still very thin with the staff numbers and a lot of timing sensitive tasks are piling up.  We didn't get much done on the golf course last week, but we accomplished a lot in other areas.  This week has been much smoother and we hope to catch up soon.

Pictures from the past week...

Broken irrigation line at the club.

Rains over the winter caused the bridge on 7 to settle.  In the past few weeks it's dropped nearly 4".  Mike and Jimmy did some work to get it back to where it should be.  We'll need to figure out a new way to route runoff from 7 fairway.

The zoysia practice tee is still off limits.  When it starts growing again we'll open it up.  These divots were taken a few feet in front of the "Mats Only" sign.  If the tee were up and running, this picture would serve as a good example of how not to take divots on the tee.  Note how scattered the divot pattern is.
