Ice and Snow Update

Cabin fever is rampant among all golfers as well as our staff.  We are tired of the inside work and can't wait to get back to an outside routine.  The course has been covered up since January 6 and while some snow has melted, none of the course is playable.  The frigid temps are making it hard to predict when we might be able to open up again.  When the snow does finally disappear from most of the course, there is a good chance that the greens will still be unsafe for traffic.  As we start to see more of the course thaw, we'll be able to make a better estimate of what day we can re-open.  Be aware that the 10 day weather forecast is not a great indicator of how the ground conditions on greens will be.  Highs in the mid 40s might be ideal for golf, but the greens may be puddles of melting snow and ice on top of a frozen layer beneath the surface.  Greens are built on sand and that acts a lot differently than the soil in your front lawn.  We want to get things open as soon as possible without causing harm to the greens.  I'll update the golf shop as soon as we have a "best guess" on a re-opening date.

When we do finally open up you'll have a refurbished bridge to drive on at hole 4.  Ernie and his team are almost wrapped up and it'll be much smoother than before.  We hope to start on hole 17 bridge soon.

Hole 4 on Tuesday 1/22

We may be done with this by Friday

These were pulled off the course and refinished.  A new set is being made as well.

Jason has his hands full with the old Ford.
