Rough Aeration and Tee Times

Our "lawn" needs some work this fall.  With the club championship season wrapping up this weekend (September 21,22) we will hold off on the messy part until after that's complete.  Aeration in the rough will occur over the course of the next two weeks (September 23-October 4).  Seed will be added where needed, but primarily in the heavy traffic areas at tee and green slopes, and cart entry/exit points.  We have golf outings on the 23rd and 25th that will keep us off the course most of the day.   On September 24th and 26th the course will be closed until noon to allow us to get a head start with rough aeration.  The process will involve multiple tractors, machines, and staff members.  Aeration of roughs is a slow process that we've skimped on in recent years.  We've used solid tines that can get around the course quicker due to weather and golf related schedule conflicts.  This year we really need to be more assertive in order to get better results that we hope will last longer.  Please bear with us through this critical time of year.  It's been a busy golf season with difficult weather.  Extra effort and patience will help set up 2025 to be a better year.
