Plan D
Plan A was to have an awesome summer and not need to do any rough recovery work this fall. That didn't work out too well. Plan B was delayed by a busy golf calendar. Plan C was delayed by rain. Plan D is now in place when the weather cooperates. Plan D is basically just to hurry up and get all the aeration, overseeding, and fertilizing done in and around gaps of play and weather. We will get it done, but once conditions allow the work to start it will take a little longer to complete.
We were able to get the front nine roughs aerated this week before it got too wet, but no seed has been applied due to the sloppy conditions. Helene is bringing another dose of rain tomorrow so I suspect it will be at least a week before we can get machines back out. Ideally we can get a few holes done in the mornings ahead of play, but with smaller staff that might mean skimping on some routine daily course maintenance. I'm sure everyone understands the challenge and we appreciate your patience.
