The Morning Race Against Golfers

Every morning our team arrives at 6:00 AM to get the course prepped for play.  Several staff arrive earlier than that to pull equipment out of the shop and load the necessary tools for that day's work.  At 6:00 we begin assigning tasks and giving instructions that are specific to that day.  We discuss the tee sheet, special events, any gaps in play, weather related nuances, give praise for the good things that happened the previous day, give pointers where needed, and lay out the general plan of attack.  We try to be out the door by 6:10.  We receive noise complaints from time to time, so starting before 6:00 AM is not an option in this community.  With play beginning at 8:00 and the course spread out over 6 miles we have to hustle with the daily tasks in order to stay ahead.  The routine tasks of course set up (range tee clean and set up, changing hole locations, cleaning restrooms, cleaning tee boxes and shifting markers), greens mowing, tee mowing, spraying when needed, and bunker raking must happen ahead of play.  Unfortunately, we are not staffed or equipped to accommodate the first group finishing before 11:00.
If you are in the first few groups (sometimes the first group/single gets jumped by a faster golfer or group) please pace yourself to a 3 hour round so that we can complete all our efforts ahead of you.

Please keep us in mind when you are playing early golf or are the first group out after the Wednesday gap (following ladies day group).  Playing a one hour 9 or a two hour 18 can be very disruptive to our efforts to satisfy the rest of the membership who would wish for the course to be fully prepped when they play.
