Post Aeration Update

We had a great second day of aeration on Tuesday and, thanks to nice weather, have the course up and running a day earlier than planned.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this important step in course upkeep.  With good weather I expect to have a quicker recovery than in past years.  We modified our technique, used a different sand, and had near perfect weather all of which should contribute to a fast return to normal.

While we were closed for aeration we took advantage of the opportunity to complete the bridge on hole 7.  We will put a stain on it later this season to help protect it.  The process of planning the next wave of bridge repairs is already underway.  We learned a lot about how well built they are through this process.

We also hired GroundsOne Golf to help us root prune along the tree lines for us.  They spent all day Tuesday with us and were able to get a very large portion of the course completed.  We hope to do this periodically to prevent cart path damage and improve turf.

Where possible, we pruned between the tree and the path

In some places the tree is too close to the path.  We may have to remove these trees.
