Stump Removals and Irrigation Improvements

Last week was extremely productive with 270+ stumps removed and 7 irrigation controllers prepped for replacement.  We continued working on the area right of 2 tee and began cleaning up the aftermath of the  stump grinding.  Winds and wet ground kept us (me) from completing the winter weed control in the zoysia, but we still have some time for that.

Based on the forecast we are going to have to get back into tree related work and maybe find some things to do that don't require getting off of the concrete.  We'll get a tent to work under in order to keep our momentum going with irrigation controllers.  That will keep us dry on Monday, but won't work in the 40 mph winds expected on Tuesday.  Never a dull moment and always plenty to do.  We just don't get to pick and choose exactly when we do things.

Matt and Danny have knocked out almost 500 stumps in
their two visits to Fawn Lake.  One day per visit!

Professional Stump Removal showed up on Monday last week.
Our staff has been working daily on cleaning up the stumps that were ground.

Alan and Tyler removing an old controller.  Note the two
pipes coming out the side of this controller.  That's
not the way it's supposed to look.

Alan prepping to pour a new pad on one of our 19 controllers.
Note the large root in the foreground.  Add irrigation controllers
to the list of things that trees damage.

All the wires now come up through the center.  We have
to re-install the old controllers until the new ones arrive in April.
