Aeration Day 1 Update

Sun finally arrived at the right time and we made a good dent in the greens aeration process.  Ideally we would have gotten a few more holes done, but we made it far enough to finish it up tomorrow.  Had the temperatures from last week hung around we might have been more aggressive. We are healthier at this point in the season than we typically are, but aeration and topdressing can be a traumatic experience for bentgrass in August.  While we had ample daylight left after 9 holes, the temperature was over 90 and it's not wise to drag a brush around the green multiple times in that kind of heat.  This week is going to have highs in the mid 90s and lows in the 70s so we're going to err on the side of caution with this process.    The greens should bounce back quickly if tomorrow goes as well as today.
