Day 4 Update
Another perfect day for progress! We arrived to a frost that delayed some of the turf related tasks, but concrete work got fired up at 7:00 sharp. We caught up on some long overdue mowing with most of the back nine finally firm enough for equipment. Tomorrow we'll open up the back nine to play while the front nine path repairs continue.
AERATION...The 5/8" diameter holes are full of sand and we have brushed and rolled the greens a couple of times now. The frosty weather today and tomorrow do not aid in recovery, but the next week looks fantastic. A little rain would help the greens and hurt path repairs. Not sure what to wish for.
CART PATH REPAIRS...Hole 3 concrete work has been completed! It's still off limits for traffic and we'll be working over the next couple of weeks to get the turf repaired along the edges. It's about a quarter mile of detail work so it could take some time. The front nine will open for play on Saturday, May 1.
Today they poured 60 yards of concrete bringing the total to 147 yard. We'll do almost that much on holes 6 and 7 over the next few days.
The team of Chris Mitchell and Matt Laydon with Flatline has been incredible to work with. They are very detail oriented and run a tight ship. Their guys are first class and I hope they'll come back to help us with future repairs.

Trees are the enemy of turf and concrete. |
