Day 3 Update

At the end of the 3rd 14 hour day, I'm happy to say we had our best day yet.  Both the aeration and the cart path repairs went smoothly and we dodged all surprises.  The only drawback to today was being downwind of a pile of burning leaves while shoveling up plugs on hole 3.

AERATION...We completed the steps on the front nine greens today and brushed the back nine another time.  At noon we escaped the storm that passed through.  We were a mile away from being shut down with 4 holes left to finish.  Tomorrow we will make an attempt to get every blade of grass on the back nine mowed.  We have a very good chance for frost, but the wind and sun have finally dried things up enough to get out in most areas.  Once any frost is gone we'll have all the machines out in full force.

CART PATH REPAIRS...So far 690 feet of bad concrete has been replaced.  There is another 494 feet left to pour on hole 3.  The team has moved on to tearing out bad sections on hole 6.  Tomorrow they will finish pouring 3 and continue tearing out stuff on hole 6.  It's going to get very hectic on Fawn Lake Parkway for the next few days.

20mph wind was great for drying things out but didn't help
