Seeding Update and Cry For Help
We are wrapping up rough aeration and overseeding between golf schedules, wet ground conditions, and routine course maintenance. Losing the month of August due to the constant rain and wet ground put us way behind so it's been a scramble so far this Fall. It's later than ideal for getting seed down, but we should still see benefits from our effort in 2021 if not this season. The front nine seed is popping out of the ground which is why we've restricted cart traffic to the paths on those holes. We appreciate those of you who have been kind enough to follow this "rule". Those of you who haven't.....we don't appreciate. Rains have made the course too wet for traffic anyway, so in reality, the newly sprouted seed isn't the culprit. The back nine overseeding has been hampered by these wet conditions so we are hoping to get that done this week. A golf outing on Monday will push us into Tuesday for getting started. We'll keep you posted on the status of the back nine seed and hopefully get some germination soon.
This damage occurred on 17 when "cart path only" was the "rule" for the day |
