New Summer Old Problems
Cicada Killer Wasps are back and seem to be more numerous than last year's record setting count. Soon you will notice the mounds of soil they leave behind from the tunnels they dig. Greens, tees and bunkers will be the primary areas of concern. They are intimidating, but nobody has ever been stung as I'm aware. Only the female can sting and she only does so if you're really trying to get stung. We will be doing a daily clean up of the mounds and dusting them with a product to help alleviate the issue. Please do not be alarmed over the next month while these bugs do their thing. They will burrow into the holes from time to time so please leave the flagstick in if you encounter this situation.

Record year for these things. This felt pretty good. pic.twitter.com/H16UJkliTK— David L Smith (@flccturfcare) August 2, 2019
