Fairway Aeration Progress...Difficult Day One
The front nine was aerated and remains in a state of recovery and clean up. It will, however, be open on time Tuesday morning. The back nine will remain closed while we finish the job.
From the start today was a mess. Rain threatened at daybreak requiring us to hold off on our start. The thatch accumulation turned out to be far greater than the last time we aerated in 2010. This added to the clean up time. And to top it off our primary piece of equipment, the tractor, broke in midstream.
We will work hard Tuesday to get the entire course open. The clean up process will continue throughout the week.
